Spring is coming!!!

I am so excited to see spring around the corner, but as you know this means a very busy time for teachers and students. Spring break is coming, testing is next, followed by annual reviews. Please encourage your child to do his/her best on the standardized tests that we will be taking the week of April 4th. After that is complete, it will be time for us to meet and discuss your child's progress in speech this year. I have lots of good things to say about each and every one of my students. I am so proud of them. They have worked extremely hard this year! Can't wait to see you!!!

Christmas is almost here!!

I have sent home a homework calendar for the month of December. Please practice with your child over the holiday break. I would love for my kids to gain some skills over the break!! That would be AWESOME!! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas season!!

Homework practice

For the month of November, I have sent home practice work for your child. There is a small activity for each day of the week for you and your child to do together. Please practice with your child this month. Thank you!!

Schedule is set

I have my schedule finished and your child should be receiving services. If you have any concerns, please call me. Remember that when you ask your child if he/she has been to speech, they may not remember. Many parents tell me that their child said they didn't go to speech, only to find out when they talked with me, the child actually had. :) I have a great bunch of boys and girls this year, and I think we are going to have a GREAT year!!

Another year......

We're back......

I hope everyone had a great Christmas break and snow days. Let's hope we don't have anymore snow days this year. :) I hope everyone practiced their speech and language over the break and are ready to get started back. Christmas is almost here!!

I can't believe it is almost Christmas! This year is flying by. Please don't forget to practice over the break. When you are in the car, ask you child questions about what is going on around them. Start with questions that begin with what, like "what do you see outside?" or "what is your favorite color?", and let that lead your conversation. You never know what you can learn from or about your child and it will help enrich their language skills. Don't forget to read with or to them over the break, as well. Reading build language skills, also!!! Merry Christmas to you all!!!
